at the center of dadubs sa020 lie the myths of the ancient greek goddess demeter - her search for daughter persephone, the drink at the eleusinian mysteries ceremonies in her honour, and the fungus which gave the drink its psychoactive properties.
this autumn bernard fevre returns with *black moon, white sun*, his 7 th album as the black devil, a mask he has worn since 1978 to conjure up analogue disco dreams from the ether and cast a spell over dancefloors around the world. released on the ancient festival of samhain (october 31st) when the barriers between our world and the next are said to be thinnest, *black moon, white sun* is your own personal gateway to an altered state of mind.

dedicated to the rozelle warehouse, a decrepit building in a forgotten corner of memphis tennessee, where bassbins shook ancient dust from the walls, lives were forever altered, and one guy took way too much acid.
capturing the essence of crosstown rebels robot rebel heart experience at burning man, davi’s selection of deep melodic odysseys for rebellion are awash with the other-worldly magic of the playa. a side rebel heart fuses ancient eastern melodies with moody bass and mystical arrangements.
new japanese imprint 10 label made a great impact with this record originally released in 2011. originally limited to a very small number of copies, here we proudly present a full and much needed re-release with new centre art.
in 2011, we begin to think about doing a record label. we had been following somaticae for some time and at this moment he was playing some art & punk gigs with a furious live of electronic improv, on the edge between hypnosis and noise. two of these sessions became our second release, *dressed like a bubblegum*, raising the interest of people like surgeon, perc, and peter van hoesen , his remix for mondkopfs *ease your pain* receiving praise from ancient methods as well as labels downwards and avian. but somaticae had already moved forward, and in a matter of a few weeks, he was sending us what quickly and easily took shape as *catharsis*, a ten track piece which is to be the first album release on in paradisum.
perseus traxx is no stranger to the legion of underground warriors who place quality above quantity, having released on bunker, m/o/s, photic fields, boe recordings, boomchik, chiwax, sequencias, and future flash to name a few, as well as being one half of nite vision with the man behind mantra/myriadd.the muses are the nine goddesses who promote literature, science and the arts, the personifications of inspiration. though only named and assigned characteristics as recently as the roman era, they were revered by the ancient greeks, who documented that them as having been recruited by the egyptian god osiris as he passed through ethiopia prior to embarking on a tour of asia and europe to teach the arts of cultivation to mankind. itís with this in mind that perseus traxx, makes his first release on newcastleís flight recorder label, delivering an ode to four of them directly rather than the forms they have inhabited while they visit him. bubbling and cutting, heavy synths and dusty tones are jammed out live to tape, ranging from the playful to the stark as they characterise the appropriately named tracks. an ordered tangle of wires and patching in a unique set of acid-free sonic experiments, that sometimes feel as cold and edgy, as they do warm and carefree.
limited edition of 500 copies in gatefold sleeve ¹ 24 x 12 inch professionally printed poster ¹ white vinyl - download card.
kenneth anger may not necessarily be the name that will come to mind when listening for the first time - distracted, confused, disoriented - to puce moments debut album. yet it is the only one that will seem relevant upon second listen -narcotic, infernal, fascinating. puce moment does not only borrow a title (of his eighth short film, made in 1949) from the baron noir of experi?mental cinema . ghostly wanderings, satanic masses, mystical romances, mechanical hell: eve?rything in the duo from lille (france) and their album in form of an invocation to ancient sybarites authorities refers to the californian filmmakers obsessions.
in the fourth chapter of shaded records denizo continues his journey through the maze of sounds and moods where images and textures get distorted by surrounding architecture. ancient window of the hermitage gives us entrance into the space of 4 stories. edenic dub immerses us within the atmosphere of rolling chords and melancholic melody leads further with heavy roar.
following on from the well received ancient methiods versus kareem 12 inch of last year - fondation sonore present their 2nd release courtesy of new york industrial maverick - adam x. very limited copies as always with this label.
gritty acidic/tribalistic definitions of black metal music on this new side project of abdulla rashims arr records. isolated in the coldest parts of northern sweden, vargs music is the outcome of a loners mind. trying to interpret ancient life by machine experiments live recorded in single takes. no overdubs or editing are made. limited supplies
3th, a new label founded by ascion, d. carbone and the newcomer lucindo, brings its first release featuring aforementioned three and unknown fourth artist, the mysterious 3th.
vinyl only! forgotten planets is an adventurous voyage with heavy bass and storytelling synths, combined with hammering rimshots, snares and drums. after that we are surrounded by fog, experimental soundscapes generates a uncanny atmosphere.
on the b side we have escape mode, a massive stomper with an industrial feeling and droning alarm signals. and last but not least ancient spaceships, a little time journey into the sound of the 90ies, no barriers between detroit techno, rave, breakbeat or whatever music was called in the past or will be called in the future. 365 copies black vinyl and 165 copies red marbled vinyl. no repress!

good things come to those that wait, that rings true of this, the most anticipated release on vitalik to date. the jedi house ep has been a while in the making and on listening you can immediately hear why. each high hat, each snare, each kick is meticulously crafted.
dj support: ashley beedle / jimmy edgar / andre lodemann / ralph lawson and many more.
parisian techno enfant terrible mondkopf makes a rare excursion away from his fast rising in paradisium imprint to deliver an ep for perc trax, a label that clearly shares mondkopfs love for the experimental, the industrial and the distorted. across these three tracks the french producer applies an overdriven, fuzz-heavy aesthetic to symphonic broken beat techno. think ancient methods or perc at their most uncompromising but then expanded in every direction heavier bass, sharper highs and an orchestral edge that is epic without ever coming across as contrived.
visionquests latest offering comes courtesy of the industrious butch. evoking ancient gods of the ancient times is the theme for butchs latest release, and its not hard to see why once youve had a listen to this one, which oozes with mysterious and mythical charm.
old apparatus trilogy of solo eps, starting with >realise< and >alfur<, now completes with the >harem< ep by the oa collective member known only as harem. this final ep is probably the most haunted of the records they have done, with an uncanny atmosphere running throughout, albeit one tinted with qualities of depth and beauty, like coming across ancient art in a dark cave. the ep starts with >sunday service<, featuring paperdoll house.
after 3 years of releasing successfully as a digital only label, genesa records is starting with a special series of vinyl releases. for the first release we have original works by the label owner himself, scalameriya, and one of genesas main artists, yuji kondo (aka ducerey ada nexino) from japan. on the remix duty, 2 well-known names: the fierce sound of ancient methods & floor shaking grooves from one of spains legendary acts, the incredible duo, exium, are pushing this record into higher standards.
perc trax is proud to unveil the debut ep by pinion, known in a former life as us-based producer bobby dowell. pinion is the sound of a man with his own vision of music, sitting somewhere between classic industrial and contemporary techno without slavishly bowing down to either discipline. where the likes of ancient methods and perc are the sound of metal on metal, pinion is more like wood on leather, a ceremonial throb that switches in an instant from tightly locked grooves to more freeform rhythmic patterns.
luca c & brigante are beginning to need no introduction as their heady balearic mix of sounds continue to resonate from the beach to the club. together, they have dropped bombs such as >different morals< feat. ali love and the robert owens fronted >tomorrow can wait<. luca c is also one half of infinity ink, whose >infinity< has been one of the summers biggest records, and a new addition to hot natured alongside jamie jones, ali love and lee foss. sebi aka brigante has remixed the new single from ali love, about to drop on no.19. aligning with the ancient mayan prophecy that the end of the world is due december 21st 2012, luca c & brigantes new single >flash of light< featuring dance music icon roisin murphy is a call to love like there is no tomorrow. embedded in heavy reverb and stripped back to slow steady drums, the mood rises as roisins crystalline vocals fall into rhythm and weightlessness builds with the bassline hook, pearly high-pitched strings and a burst of harmonic percussion.
fuselabs first physical release – a vinyl 12 inch lp of russian/norwegian band onego. onego is igor bogdanov, victor shubin (both from russia), bernt simen lund and gudmund ostgard (both from norway). these guys met together to bring this finest electronica album with natural slavic and nordic touch. and that is what >bukhanka dreams< really is: a thick sonic universe of glitchy rhythms, deep ambience and truly authentic melodies. not just a fast-produced snack you know.
raw, sinister and apocalyptic techno from this unidentified being called talismann. droning subs and hypnotic rhythms, sounding like some dark rite from a time between ancient and future. recommended!!
after debuting with an albums worth of experimental, ambient electronic explorations from the hugely talented nyc based jason letkiewicz under his alan hurst moniker, the emotional response label maintains such high standards with their second release. the focus shifts to timothy j fairplay, a uk producer whose growing discography is proving to be impressive too. ears should still be ringing to his world unknown released homage to ancient egypts predilection for psychedelic drugs and its little surprise he has been hand picked for the debut release on sir weatheralls new vinyl initiative bird scarer. the four tracks that make up somebody, somewhere retain that dubby mid tempo poise that permeated fairplays output to date, though he seems to revel in the freedom to experiment emotional response encourages, focusing more on developing expansive patterns of synths on tracks like >aim for the yellow sector< and the title track. special mention too for >i do not believe< which comes on in a deep medi doing digidub style!
early support from: adam beyer, laurent garnier, luciano, agoria, dj t, seth troxler, magda, oxia, mr. g, spedy j, shaun reeves, danny tenaglia, alex niggermann, tim green, rodriguez jr, mihai popoviciu, toni rios, fabrizio maurizi, cesare vs disorder, mikael stavostrand, daniel sanchez..
within the context of spirals, elements from the levels take on different meaning and significance. these ancient sources of knowledge combined with scientific and genetic theory, can provide valuable tools that can help us broaden our perspective. spirals are also concerned with correct action. correct action in spiral terms is action that is uniquely suited to the individual and the situation at hand. it places an emphasis on practical tools to guide each individual to correct action for him or herself. it does not tell you what correct action is. it gives you a tool to discover that for yourself: your strategy, based upon your unique design.
black 12 + white 7 inch pack - an epic journey into the deeper shadows of winter. echo 106 come from brunnen, the innermost part of switzerland, secrets are whispered, and eyes look at you through the windows. silly limited as usual ... 200 only!
this ep will take you there, where snow conceals, nightfall comes early and unwelcome visitants hunt you. 6 songs, not just tracks, that are a perfect soundtrack to your innermost toughts. lux rec had compiled this selection out of several tracks, new and from the archives, and delivers again some damn fine music. follow the rabbit.
gerardo frisina goes back to the roots of the sound which has made him famous worldwide: the latin sound of classics like >descarga< or >the latin kick< (both previously released on schema). >moderno primitivo< is an ep about the encounter of the ancient afro-cuban tradition (the core of frisinas artistic dna) with a refined electronic taste. this component enriches drums and percussions and gives more edge to the whole production with details like pads and effects. in >moderno primitivo< the latin ensemble headed by frisina takes us into a jam session where percussions, piano and trombone play happily. the latin house mix is a club version where the rhythmic element and the groove take control of the mix. the melody is broken and a hammond plays over a ostinato bass. the flavour is definitely tribal. >cogele el ritmo< is a trip into frisinas latin world. slower than >moderno primitivo<, still has a solid hook to the dance-floor and is a triumph of joy and colour.
>the great mother down the stairs<, a collaboration between the enigmatic violet poison and fresh italian talent shapednoise (repitch recordings), evokes the spirit of a deathless evil entity relegated in a cellar. a 3-tracker of pure techno evilness pushed to the edges of industrial and extreme noise. a violent post-berghain release for fans of ancient methods, adam-x, orphx and neo-industrial techno. supported by adam-x, shifted, orphx and svreca.
transparent vinyl pressing.
we have decided to publish these tracks as our first release because they took inspiration from the two words label name: eleusína and recreations. thinking about that ancient mysteries and hoping they could survive till nowadays and in the future as a aid of our poor life helped us a lot in composing these tracks.
the two track ep was compost almost interely by machines with a little computer aid. cause we are only humans and conditioned by our fears and weaknesses, we have decided to make them almost mono tracks to maximize the transfer achievement to vinyl. have we took the wrong way? we do not know, but we keep some time to reflect about that and find the best balance between stereo and mono that fits our soul.
here we are, is not time for words right now, let the sounds speak.
for a blink of an eye shhhh leaves the mystical and foggy output to open its doors for floorburning loopfunk with a gypsy taste by no one else than german technoproducer sascha muller, an experienced senior in electroscene releasing his infinite creative output for some decades now. starting with the main theme >sommernachtstraume< (summernight dreams) and a video with handmade moulded plasticine characters it burns down the romanian street credibility at first glance. an additional remix by bluff with reminiscences to ancient hypnotic techno music as celebrated in cologne mid 90s closes the a-side while a new confusing journey starts on b-side. with its two hypnotic big city nightlife classical electro pieces >bangkok< and >future punk part ii< the soundtrack returns again and reveals a soft carpet full of robotic cyberpunk maelstrom for dancers and listeners after 6a.m. we welcome another new unexpected artist on shhhh, stating that eclecticism is not a bad word, but a desired place to be.
polar era comes out! this is the second reference of lycaon label owned by agony forces, the group that already surprised with their first: the noir age . this delivery is composed by two original tracks and remixes by the duo ancient methods from berlin, and by the leader of techno in spain, oscar mulero.
a year and a half in the making – well, spiritually at least – the air jordan ep soundtracks a 2010 roadtrip through a captivating country, just before the instant rush that became last years fever album and subsequent when in doubt label launch. based on field recordings taken in various bustling city centres, rugged desert landscapes, peaceful cornfields, lively amphitheatres, abandoned villages and ancient temples, the ep’s four tracks capture glimpses of jordans stark and desolated scenery as well as its warm and vivid spirit, channelled and reinterpreted through a simple recording device and a sampler. we hope you enjoy the results as much as we enjoyed travelling.
support from: efdemin (dial), marcel dettmann, morphosis, james holden, four tet, ben ufo, mary anne hobbs, martyn, serge (clone) faltydl & appleblim
evolution takes a lot of time to achieve the best results. in his track, mr raoul k uses the concept of evolution to travel with you through this musical journey. every section of the track seems to evolve. simple patterns grow into complex patterns. more instruments join in. some stay, some are dropped after a few bars. listen closely and you can follow mr raoul ks on his path along the production process. the only sound, that accompanies you throughout the track is the choir that chants in an ancient african language - the world is nothing without humanity. the track closes with some minutes of beats for your mixing pleasure. choose vinyl!
f3 are three brothers from tel aviv, who sent >lonely land< in a bottle from israel that somehow found its way to us. are they triplets? we dont know. are they ancient balearic overlords, risen from their white sand graves? or are they cosmic kids, a new generation of vagabond disco trippers taking to the future by way of the past - we cant say. have they produced a sparkling slice of sunrise disco house? we would like to think so. >lonely land< is a filtering, chugging swing for the lovers, and f3s debut. the clubmod002 release includes remixes by john talabot and seahawks.
highly recommended! marieu comes back with an amazing solo e.p. on his own label enlightened wax after the worldwide success of his first work, heavily played by the most appreciated underground djs. as usual, this record has been written, mixed and produced only on dusty machines and recorded on juicy magnetic tape. the opening track, >ancient times< is a capturnig fat deep house track with a subtle female chant and space-station pads a2, >heat eninges< is build on an heavy ground shaking bass, a wagging latin piano riff. big claps, and sharp cymbals. funky and relentless, its just an essential choice for every swingin dj. on side b,>radiant< develops on a solid bass drum a filtered house groove making a breach to a charming jazzy piano and a blues voice. a complete feeding for every hungry dancefloor b2, >spectrum<begins with a dark hypnotizing groove enlightened in the middle of the track by an uplifting motorcity pad. striking and suggestive.
nice price deal !!! the third, somewhat overdue, installment of andy blakes cave paintings series finally sees the light of day. all the cave paintings releases are one-take analogue excursions constructed by machines and recorded live in new cross gate and mastered for vinyl in hackney.3x is a close cousin of 2y.a simple but dramatically effective warmly buzzing bassline is clambered all over by layers of interlocking pure analogue percussion.machine funk meets the locking crew for a warehouse showdown.3y heads into thus far uncharted territory. an evil, growling lfo driven bass underpins militaristic percussion thats slammed hard into ancient spring reverbs and accompanied by the sound of synthesisers being choked to death. heads down strobe-lit dancefloor action.
here comes the second part of french team lowkey & kardinals electrovino series!
the first part is nicely rockin the floors around the globe and found its way into many cases (or better said file-lists) of many djs from small to big! the second part follows the path with another rocker called oroborus (the name taken from an ancient greek tale of a dragon eating his own tail !) with a kind of tech-housy but techno bangin feel to it, bringing back the old casio organ sound. followed by two versions of indian summer, one in its more smoother original version and the second in a very nice prime time techno version by kardinal himself!
reversed board sleeve features silver metallic pantone logo and lettering front and back, pantone matched labels, plastic inners. a selection of short cinematic explorations taking in the ancient, the far reaches of the galaxy and the end-time, featuring transportation aad (boddika/alex instra:mental & drkstr), grey goo (boddika/alex instra:mental), and vaalhaala (to remain anonymous ...).
trust now is the keystone album of brooklyns prince rama. the album takes the kaleidoscopic mysticism of ancient devotional music and focuses it through the fierce urgency and archetypal language of pop, forming an environment that is both accessible and impenetrable. deep synths rise from a sparkling sea of gamelans and prayer bells as tribal drums pound the earth with the hypnotic power to heal or destroy. voices carry captivating and haunting melodies that shine like the diamond jewels of old bollywood soundtracks spilling over dark wave dance floors.
first conceived as a ritual to be performed live, the songs were fittingly recorded inside a 19th century church in seattle by scott colburn (sun city girls, animal collective, arcade fire). as their 5th full-length album, and first as a duo, trust now is perhaps prince ramas most focused, cohesive and powerful album to date.
comes with code for free digital download of this album.
the third release on the world unknown label is a very meaty affair that coincides with the second birthday of the club night in brixton. on side w timothy j. fairplay fuses ancient egypt with late 80s belgium and drops it slap bang into the near future with the monolithic techno beast that is >cleopatra loves the acid<. its already been played in discos and on the bbc by andrew weatherall, for whom tim handles engineering and co-production duties in his day job, and is set to become a pounding anthem on the more adventurous dancefloors over the coming months. side u is a more throbbing psychedelic affair. kalidasa is the production alter-ego of tim rivers who runs the always excellent theacidhouse.com website. it<s exactly the kind of heavyweight midtempo tune that causes sweaty pandemonium at world unknown. if the word balearic still meant now what it did to from 87-92 then thats precisely what youd call this, most likely with the prefix >heavy<. but it doesnt so you cant, or can you?
for this 11th release, we give you the opportunity to grab 3 fantastic trax done by todays hottest producers : massimiliano pagliara & rotciv. massimiliano p. has been responsible of delivering some of the best electronic tracks in those recent years on great labels such as balihu, rush hour, live at robert johnson & needwant. he teamed up for this special release with rotciv (from brazil) who made a name for himself with his special edits & has a very busy year with some upcoming 12 inches on d-edge, mister mistery & rebirth. their name is the rimshooters present >tha jackin theory< !!! heavily inspired by roland 909 chicago mythic drum machine, those guys deliver here 3 anthems, very close in spirit to tensnake & lee foss best work.. their sound is firmly rooted in proto-house and 80s r&b. with ingredients like ancient drum machines, arpeggiated melodies, and 80s pads, their connection boils over with a certain cheekiness that makes listeners grin from ear to ear. those 3 tracks have lots of groove and solid bouncy disco house beats and that piano (mmmhhh !!!). vocals arent the main event here but they do add another level showing some true disco production skills. this is surely going to be one of the biggest release this year & yep, you read right - this is only their first installment! stay tune
